Privacy Policy

Rawi is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. This document explains exactly what data the app handles and why.

What data Rawi collects

Nothing is sent to any server. Rawi is a 100% on-device app.

• Audio: Recorded locally, processed entirely on your device, and discarded immediately after identification. No audio is ever uploaded or stored.
• Location: Used only if you enable location tagging — to attach a city name to a verse history entry. Location data never leaves your device.
• Verse history: Stored locally on your device only. Not synced to iCloud or any other service.
• Anonymous analytics: If enabled, Rawi sends anonymous, non-identifiable usage signals (e.g. "recording started", "verse matched") to TelemetryDeck. No personal data, no device identifiers, and no audio are ever included. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.

What Rawi does not collect

• No account or sign-in required — ever
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• No tracking across apps or websites
• No personal information of any kind

Third-party services

Rawi does not communicate with any external servers during normal use. The complete Quran text, translations, and AI model are all bundled with the app and work fully offline.

The only optional third-party integration is TelemetryDeck for anonymous usage analytics, described above. You can disable this in Settings.

Children's privacy

Rawi does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no advertising and requires no personal data to function.

Changes to this policy

Any material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
