The short version: Rawi processes all audio entirely on your device. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. The app works fully offline with no account required.
Rawi ("the app") is developed and operated by Yusuf Algan Design FZ-LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the app and our website (rawiapp.xyz) collect, why, and your rights regarding that data.

Audio is captured from your device's microphone, processed entirely on-device by a local AI model, and discarded immediately after identification. No audio is ever uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server. The app works fully offline.
Identified verses are saved to your device as history entries. If you upgrade to Rawi Pro, your verse history is synced across your devices via Apple iCloud (CloudKit). This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Free-tier history remains local to your device only.
If you enable location tagging in Settings, Rawi attaches a city-level location name to each verse history entry. Location data is resolved on-device and stored locally (or in your iCloud account for Pro users). We never receive or process your location data on any server.
Legal basis: Consent (you explicitly enable location tagging).
If enabled, Rawi sends anonymous, non-identifiable usage signals (e.g., "recording started", "verse matched") to TelemetryDeck. These signals contain no personal data, no device identifiers, no audio, and no text. You can disable analytics at any time in the app's Settings.

Rawi uses Apple's MetricKit framework to collect crash logs, hang reports, and performance metrics (launch time, energy usage). This data is processed by Apple and shared with us in aggregated, anonymized form. No personal information is included. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (maintaining app stability).
Rawi Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). Apple handles all purchase data subject to their Privacy Policy.
When you correct a verse identification, the correction data (matched verse, correct verse, and matching features) is stored locally on your device to improve future accuracy. This data is never transmitted to any server.

Our website (rawiapp.xyz) uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, time on site, referral source). No personal information is collected. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Rawi does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app contains no advertising and requires no personal data to function. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
The app processes data on your device. When iCloud sync is enabled (Pro), Apple may transfer your data internationally per their policies. TelemetryDeck processes analytics data in the European Union. Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States under Google's data transfer framework.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes that affect your rights, we will notify you through the app or by email (if you have provided one). Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
